Q- What time should I put my trash out in the morning?

A- Please have your trash out by 7:00 A.M. on your scheduled pick-up day.

Q- Can I pay my bill through bill pay?

A- Yes we will accept payment through your own bank's bill pay and other bill pay service providers.

Q- Can I pay with Credit Cards?

A- Yes you can pay your bill with Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.   Click on the Pay Bill tab on the home screen (please allow 24-48 hours for payment to be credited to your account) or call           913-406-9460 to pay over the phone.

Q- I put my trash out Tuesday morning but my scheduled pick-up day was Monday. Will you come pick it up anyway?

A- Unfortunately no. Because of our tight schedule we cannot come back to a stop that wasn't scheduled for that day.

Q- I forgot to put my trash out, will you credit me for that week.

A- Unfortunately no, we cannot.  Will be picking up the missed trash at your next pick up.

Q-I am going out of town and won't need service for several weeks. Will I still be charged?

A-If you call and let us know to stop service then you will not be charged. Just let us know when you are back in town so your service can start again.

Q- Why was I charged a $5.00 late fee?

A- Payments that are received past the due day are charged a $5.00 late fee.

Q- Can I place large items out for pick-up along with my regular trash?

A- Yes but you must call ahead to make arrangements and get price quote for pick-up of large items. It is often more affordable for you to have us pick up your larger items on your scheduled pick-up day then too make a special trip.

Q- I need to end my trash service, what do I need to do?
A- We ask that you give us a 30 day WRITTEN notice when cancelling your service.  All property of Superior Disposal Service needs to be returned to us to avoid additional cost (recycle bin, carts).  If a notice has been provided and all property of SDS has been returned a refund may be given.

Q - Can my neighbor(s) and I share trash service?
A - No, this would be considered theft of service.  Should we have reason believe you are stealing service from us your account will be closed, any unused credit may not be refunded, and we may file charges against you and any other parties involved.

Q - Does your company take large amounts of yard waste such as entire trees?
A - No, we are not a tree service.  Local tree services offer better cost effective solutions than we are able to offer our customers.

Q - Why don't I receive a return envelope with by billing statement?
A - We do our best to keep our cost down so we can pass the savings on to our customers.  We offer free online bill pay, free auto pay, and free phone payments with the use of debit or credit cards.

Q - I had out 10 55 gal bags and they only took 5 or 6.  Why didn't they take all of them since I had out the 10 bag limit??
A - Our bag limit is based on 15-30 gallon bags.  While we are happy to take your larger bags please keep in mind larger heavier bags may be counted as 2.  You are welcome to schedule a special pick up on your normal trash day to get rid of several bags or larger items for an additional cost but you must arrange prior to your pick up day so routes can be noted and payment arrangements can be made.

Q - My recycle bin is missing but I have a new green cart with a yellow/green lid.  Is this cart for trash or recycle??
A - It is for your recycle products.  The cart replaces the bin.  We will be swapping these out over the next few weeks and will require you to use the cart for recycle once you have received it.

Q - I am a Shawnee resident and need stickers for additional bags.  Where can I purchase those??
A - Stickers sell for $1.50/ea and are available at City Hall and at Superior Disposal Service.
